Sandra Parker-Stetter
Sandra (Sandy) Parker-Stetter is the Program Manager for the Midwater Assessment and Conservation Engineering (MACE) Program of the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC). Prior to joining the AFSC in 2020, Sandy served as the Team Lead for the Fisheries Engineering and Acoustic Technologies (FEAT) team in the Fishery Resource Analysis and Monitoring Division at the Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC). She was previously a Research Fish Biologist with FEAT and focused on the application and development of acoustic-trawl approaches to describe the distribution, abundance, and ecology of fish and invertebrates in the Pacific Ocean. Before joining NWFSC, Sandy was a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Washington’s School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences with projects that used acoustic-trawl methods to study fish and invertebrates in the Bering Sea, Arctic, and Salish Sea. Sandy received her MSc and PhD from Cornell University (New York) and her HBSc from the University of Windsor (Ontario).
